My Story
I’m 13. I love bikes. I have a family that nurtures my riding, nurtures my school, and nurtures my growth. I love to progress. I’m good with hard work. I’ve got a calendar. I race the NWCup circuit April through September. This year I finished fourth in the CAT2 0-14 age group even though I missed 3 races with a broken hand. I make 2 trips to Whistler each year. The first is when school gets out to get up to speed and get comfortable with the biggest hits and tech in the PNW. The second is for Crankworx. Although I was sidelined in 2019 with an injury, I’ve competed in the Fox AirDH since I was invited as a 10 year old and am looking forward to both the Garbanzo DH and the Canadian Open. 2020 is going to be sick! From February through April, I train on local DH trails built by the local pros, Mr. Jim Carnes, Kirt Voreis, and Carson Storch. Sometimes I’m lucky enough to get a session with these guys. After the Big Bike season, I spend October and November pushing myself on the Dirt Jumper. I scare myself daily. I get better daily. Then, December and January I spend my time on my sled and my splitboard chasing powder with my dad in the Cascade peaks. That keeps me strong and lets me recharge for the race season. Photos and moments are what I focus on in the winter. I have four seasons. They are Freeride, Race, DJ, and Snow…..
I also have a long list of Sponsors that help me achieve my goals. Without that support, none of this would be possible. Many thanks to the people that believe in me and help me along. Check out my Sponsors page above for the links to all their rad stuff!
If you’d like to keep up with me on Social media, I can be found on Instagram @gnarly541 and my dad, @nconnolly511, posts some stuff from time to time.
Thanks for taking a minute to learn a little more about me. Gotta go ride my bike!
